The Birchwood Centre

Birchwood is a charity tackling homelessness, mental health issues and wellbeing head-on. We create positive change in communities through interconnected homelessness and housing support, mental health support, counselling and wellbeing activities. We’re fighting for a world where everyone has a roof over their head, a chance to thrive free from poverty, abuse, injustice, and mental health struggles, and access to the support they need. At Birchwood that’s not a dream, we’re proactively working on it every day. It’s charity, a different way.

The Lauries Centre – Birkenhead

We are proud to support the Armed Forces community by providing office space for services supporting veterans and active members of the military. As part of our continued commitment, we are also exploring the development of a community café that would offer a welcoming space for veterans, serving personnel, and their families to meet, access support, and connect with the wider community. The initiative aims to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and practical support for those who have served our country.

The Poppy Factory

The Poppy Factory supports veterans and family members on their journey into employment, helping them overcome any barriers. The veterans we support can face some of the most challenging situations in the Armed Forces community, with complex mental and physical health conditions often compounded by issues such as homelessness and addiction. Family members too may face similar challenges, with caring responsibilities for children and veterans adding further pressure. Our services empower each of these individuals to make positive progress on their own terms.

Tom Harrison House

Tom Harrison House offers a unique, trauma-informed residential addiction recovery programme tailored to veterans and emergency services personnel. Based in Liverpool, their 12-week programme is built around shared lived experience and strong therapeutic foundations. The first of its kind in the UK, it provides clients with a safe, empowering path to recovery in a community that understands.

Tranmere Rovers in the Community

Tranmere Rovers in the Community (TRIC) delivers life-changing programmes across Health & Wellbeing, Enhancing Lives, and Citizenship — supporting people of all ages and abilities through sport, social connection, and education. Based in one of the most socially deprived areas in the UK, TRIC offers more than just football — it provides a safe, inclusive space for those facing physical, mental, or social challenges. Now expanding its reach, TRIC is developing dedicated drop-ins and activities for veterans — creating opportunities for connection, wellbeing, and belonging within the heart of the Wirral community.

Transport Training Academy

Transport Training Academy (TTA), founded in 2004, is a leading logistics training organisation. We operate from two North West centres and deliver training nationally. Starting with driving assessments for transport companies, TTA has expanded significantly to offer diverse training for the Transport, Distribution, Logistics and Construction sectors.
